Kate Nichols is a physics teacher at Ida B. Wells who grew up in Littleton, CO. After high school she went to Dartmouth University, NH to study Astronomy, later becoming an environmental engineer in California. Through her educational journey she realized teaching high schoolers was made for her. With every year bringing new stories, challenges and knowledge, Nichols is living her dream job. Even if given the opportunity to be an astronaut or retire. “Teaching is the thing I’m best at so why would I stop?” says Nichols.
